Born in Country music and rebelled on Rock & Roll, the Street Corner Champs bring an abrasively unapologetic lyrical style that is paired with aggressive melodies, littered over bare bones rock & roll. The newest bastard stepchildren of Nashville, the Street Corner Champs were made to rock without a care. Rico, J, and Lee Cranford grew up as schoolmates and have followed that relationship today spilling music everywhere they go. They play because they have to, it is what they are, no manufacturing; rock & roll simply seeps out.
The band came together May of 2007 to begin the writing process; playing out soon followed. The attention of producer, stinson, became apparent and SCC etched out some time to record an EP. Soon, Radical Notion (independent media) got behind the project and officially became their friends on the business side of things. Just like a tattooed corporate scruff, business on the surface [Radical Notion] Party underneath [SCC], these two groups come together to work hard and play hard.
